Just few weeks ago i installed Ubuntu 8.04 on my laptop. The operating system is really superb. Amazing graphics, full of essential applications and faster. Just today Ubuntu’s new version 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) is released. After grand success of Hardy Heron i.e. 8.04 version this version was awaited by many Ubuntu lovers (Like me, though i am new to Ubuntu).
Few of the Ubuntu’s new features are
- Supports 3G networks for connectivity.
- You can install Ubuntu from a Pen Drive.
- Special User account for Guests (just like guest account in Windows XP)
- and Ubuntu uses the latest Gnome 2.24 Desktop Environment for better operating system experience.
I pre-ordered the Ubuntu’s latest version CD few days ago. If you want it just go to ShipIt.Ubuntu.Com and place your order. At usual these CDs are Free.
The Ubuntu store launch new clothing and accessories for this new version. If you want to buy a T-Shirt with Ubuntu logo or a Ubuntu Pen drive then you can buy it from Shop.Ubuntu.Com

That’s great. I also have Ubuntu 8.04 HH installed. I am completely new to it.
I wonder if we can upgrade 8.04 to 8.10 like we do with Windows. Is it possible or a new installation is must?

@Rishi
You do not need to install new Ubuntu version from scrach, Simple go to Start System/Administration/Update Manager and install updates, Alternatively you can update from new Version CD. No need to reInstall Free Ubuntu.
