Though there is no update about new PSP (PlayStation portable) from SONY itself but one of designer named “Tai Chiem” designed a concept that may be seen in new PSP. Just look at the images of this future possible PSP 2.

    Nice to here that But it is a concept …..:)
    The design is good …
    a kind of solving the aim of portability (the need of PSP).
    But the player would need to have much practice on the control keys What I think is the current PSP is OK with it’s design ..
    But u never know change in design might be better than the current.

    Amazingly thin display? Though I am not into gaming devices, I would not mind a calendar like TV…

    Cheers,

    well duh. but the flexibility could be solved in the OLED tech. it would ‘turn on’ and go stiff.

    That’s an absolutely horrible design. How are you supposed to hold it? It’s an interesting concept but it would fail bigtime (I realize it’s just concept art, we’re pretty far away from fitting the kind of power needed to run PSP games on something like that).

    I realize that the world is turning into atrophied zombies who can hardly hold up their own wallets but when will we get over this whole “Smaller is better” thing? I want something that fits into my hands and has a decent screen I can see.

    Nintendo has the right idea with the Large DSi but the fact that they probably won’t have Backwards Compatibility despite more than enough room makes them look like total idiots too.

    Give me a 10″ screen stuck on a full-sized controller any day over this feather-light pocket crap.

    @mario

    We’re stupid? You can’t even write down a complete sentence. I dare say you’re the one who’s stupid; but don’t worry, you’re not nearly as stupid as this idea.

    How do you plan on holding this device Mario? Are you going to magically pincer it between your fingers? Where are the buttons? How you you access them? How do you keep it upright and actually hit the L and R buttons? This thing wasn’t designed to be used it was designed to be looked at.

    It’s stupid, as are you.
