Youtube is now Widescreen !!

It seems that the whole world is becoming widescreen now , Two months ago i brought the DELL Widescreen TFT LCD, most of the new Laptops are coming with Widescreen LCD. and now Youtube, one of the most popular video sharing site is now widescreen.

What do you mean by Widescreen ?
Widescreen screen means the Wide-screen !! Ohh,,,
Wikipedia says,

A widescreen image is a film, computer or television image with a wider and shorter aspect ratio than the standard Academy frame developed during the classical Hollywood cinema era. Silent film was projected at a ratio of four units wide to three units tall, often expressed as 4:3 or 1.33:1

Widescreen means the screen which are wider that the conventional screens with aspect ratio of 4:3.The widescreen is generally expressed in 16:9 aspect ratio.

Due to popularity of Widescreens Youtube made changes to there site and make the viewing screen of all videos to widescreen, The current videos with conventional screen size [4:3] are displayed with black borders along them. This new feature in Youtube is really exiting because now videos are looking superb and giving better viewing sensation.

So enjoy the Youtube is widescreen, If you don’t have widescreen screens then now its the time to buy one.
