Just few days ago i brought the new Sony Ericsson k810i – Cybershot mobile handset.As a Cybershot its camera is amazing. It has 3.2 Megapixel camera with Autofocus and XENON Flash. My prevoius handset was Nokia N72, which was 2Megapixel with LED flash and without Autofocus.
Overall the camera is superb, Its Autofocus takes bit time to focus but its very accurate and gives superb and clear clicks.Now i am sharing Few of the most amazing features of my SE K810i.
PROS
of Sony Ericsson k810i
1. Autofocus – Good, It was absent in my Nokia N72.
2. Xenon Flash – Bright picks at night.
3. Bestpick™ – can take 9 High quality images in just 1 second !!
4. Dedicated camera keys, including keys from changing the various settings of camera such as turning ON/OFF the flash, changing the scenes.
5. Amazing sound – Though its not walkman series handset, its sound quality is much better, and louder.
6. Faster menus and navigation
7. Specious keyboard – for Very high speed and accurate SMS typing., 
8. Radio sound is amazing and louder (When compared to Nokia devices)
9. Supports Stereo Bluetooth audio streaming.

CONS
of Sony Ericsson k810i
Now after many pros few cons about K810i
1. Battery seems weaker after taking too many picks using Xenon flash.
2. Joystick may cause problem after few years of use.
3. Only 1000 contacts can be stored 
4. Shooting video quality is VERY VERY Poor compared to other Nokia devices. (XVGA)
5. After sending SMS, when it gives the SMS delivery report or shows the cost of SMS you must press OK to remove that notification from screen, until and unless you remove it, your handset will NOT receive any new SMS !!!
6. Dont want to write more here but if got something will surely add……
with handset i got one 128MB SanDisk Memory stick which was inside the mobile handset and another Original 2GB SONY Memory stick M2 with handset.Currently i am using SanDisk card for contacts backup.

Well nice bt i think i will say 2 make up battery life a bit up
1. Charge battery when it down to 10% & keep it changing till 100% in b/w dont changer & disconnect[ Better off it best]
2. Keep brightness to 60
3. Dont keep image on contact
4. Keep Key Sound off. For Sony Ericsson phones: Menu>Settings>Sounds & Alerts>Key Sound SILENT.
5. Avoid charging the phone through USB. Use USB only for data transfer i.e. don’t keep the phone connected to the computer for long hours.
6. Avoid setting animated themes. Try to set a theme which just displays some still picture or pattern. A moving picture theme requires more battery power.
7. Avoid using the vibrator when it is not required. E.g. when you are at home, the vibrator is not required, the ring is enough
& few more 2 make it life a bit long

Very nice and superb tricks u have given here.
actually, i obey almost all the tricks u have given. excepct the vibrator one…
and other options like keysound (i hate key sounds), Brightness is lowered to its min threshold. USB charging is also OFF. But still battery is very less compared to Nokia..

hey buddies, how can u forget the Nokia n97?? its the only piece that seems to hace come from heavens directly for ppl like us, who loves music, videos, computers, softwares, chating(qwerty keyboard), experimenting(no matter what), forget to plug mobile for charging often(heavy battery backup), want to control everything with the touch of our fingers(touchscreen), want portable hdd in our pockets(32+16=48GB) and a lot more I cant even think of at this particular instant, I don’t think there would be any match for this heaven’s angel any sooner.

When you can get a good mobile in such a less amount then why to go for the expensive one
I know you are talking about the features of N97 ….
No doubt about that mobile ….
that mobile is good ….best at its place …..
but this category is different ……
According to me SE and Nokia shouldn’t be compared as they have their own different way …
No one is perfect and this applies to all

You may be right in terms of money, but its price will suffer a steep fall within 6 months of its launch and I bet at that price no-one can beat the price to features ratio. One more thing, I have not used SE handsets anytime before, so I am not sure whether I can make applications for it like I do for my Nokia 7710, and even I am not sure whether it can install symbian applications or not(there are a plenty of symbian applications to make your job easier). So I can’t go with any mobile not comprising of symbian operating system(may it b 60, 80 or 90).
Waise everyone has got their different point of views for similar situations so I presented mine and you, yours, I never think of money(even though I don’t have) but I won’t be buying any other set and will wait till I have that much money.

I prefer Nokia anytime. With Nokia N97 they are raising the stakes much higher. It is a very powerful multimedia device. You probably won’t even need microsoft office package if you have Nokia N97. Priced around 36,000 it is really good for anyone who can afford it. My next phone is definately going to be touch-screen.. They are the future devices. Everything’s going touch these day.

Yeah, N97 is really a power hub, but dude. i was looking for a camera mobile. This handset is having 3.2MP cam, and all other features r great. and cost is also low (around 11K), recently i did some tweaks in camera drivers of my handset, soon i will write a post on it. Then u will see the power of SE Cams.
BTW a agree N97 is really amazing device.
But u cant compare this device with N97 !!

n97 sucks bigtime… as i heard from a friend of mine in riyaadh… he bought it and is totally fed up of using the phone… even the prices dropped from 3500dhirams to 2200dhirams in 3days after its launch in Saudi… lets see if india just praises it for the cool looks and the n series tag or they actually find the same problems like its happening in every other country…

@Chirag, People told me such review about my present phone(Nokia 7710) too but as soon as I started using it, I came to know why such reviews pop-up, for them, the mobile is just a gadget to talk with frens or to sms, they get damn confused by the complex features that these mobile phones offers(I can even do programming in my cellphone and make instant apps for complex mathematical problems in college so as to give a prompt answer).
Its like giving a pistol as a weapon to a caveman, if he gets attacked, what he’s gonna do is just throw that pistol on the enemy, he just don’t want to mess up with the complex mechanism of the pistol that can allow him to do more with what he has in his hands, he just want to stick to his age old technique and does not accept new technology.
I don’t blame him for not learning the features, the fact is, he don’t have time to explore the new gadget he has bought and not even interest to do so.
If you don’t want to give up your typewriter, then don’t buy a keyboard…….

Hi, I live in Indirapuram, it is just after crossing sector 62 Noida. I have been using K790i since the day it was launced. I love it, but due to my mishandling(I have thrown it number of times) it has stopped working finally(it is around 3 years old now).
I want to buy a new SE K series. Please suggest the price for new K 810i, K 850i.
Also plz let me know where it is avilable now.

@Nidhi, At my city i.e. Nagpur, Maharashtra, K810 costs around 11,000 to 12,000Rs.K850 is now not available in market, but when i brought this K810i, the cost of K850i was around 19,000Rs.

@Chetan, That’s true bud.i have been fan of sony ericsson for years now.and its almost my 4th mobile an its a sony .i had a c510 cybershot but i changed it few days back to w 705 which i must say that it has more clear camera and recording quality as compared to my earlier c 510.btw we talked some time ago on orkut i am Mithilesh. and for all you guys who love to hack sony ericsson and make it more better than it is ..just ask for it.i would be happy to guide you through the process..Good work Chetan.
