Now a days many people are buying android devices. Cheap Android mobile phones are available from Rs 4000. But most of them lack the support for Unicode fonts i.e. Devanagari fonts like Marathi, Hindi, etc. After searching a bit I got many tricks to enable and install the font. So I am sharing one good trick that actually worked on my Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 on Android version 2.3.

REMEMBER – This works only on ROOTED ANDROID DEVICES. We need to access (read/write) the Android file system and so it is necessary to have your device rooted. You can root your device using this APK – EasyRoot.apk. Other way, Google for “How to root android mobile” and follow the steps.

Now Let’s come to the main point…

Steps to Install Hindi font on Android.

Download and Install ES File Explorer.

After installing the app you will need to enable the Root Explorer. For that purpose Open “ES File Explorer” go to settings –> check “Root Explorer”. Also check “Mount File System” option so that we can write and file system.

Download and save these fonts on your device’s /system/font/ directory. (It will replace the fonts from that directory so be careful)

DroidHindi.ttf

DroidSansFallback.ttf.

Reboot the device and enjoy the Marathi, Hindi messages and mails on your android device

WARNING – READ DISCLAIMER.

Recently Facebook introduced SSL i.e. HTTPS support. Many people still don’t have any idea about what exactly is SSL or HTTPS. The HTTPS or SSL revolves around something knows as SSL certificates. Whether you realize it or not, SSL certificates are something which are more than likely to be encountered by internet users on a regular basis. Yet, for many people, it is not a term with which they are familiar.

SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer. It functions, basically, as an internet security measure, which are put in place in order to prove the identity of almost any website which you might choose to visit.

A number of websites might also require data to be exchanged between your internet browser and the site itself. This is particularly true of online shopping sites, when you may need to enter information such as your bank details, but can also apply to passwords and addresses. In such cases, the SSL certificate is proof that the information which you supply cannot be intercepted by a third party, who might otherwise tap into this connection.

It is usually easy to spot which sites have an SSL certificate, as they will show ‘https://’ at the beginning of their URL address, ie the usual http with the addition of an ‘s’ to prove that it is secure. Another way to identify whether or not a website has a secure connection is through the small padlock image which will usually appear in the search bar of the web browser. This is most often found on transaction pages, after you have indicated that you wish to make a purchase. You should also be able to click on the padlock itself, which will enable you to view the full SSL certificate details.

For those hosting a website, the advantage of having an SSL certificate is that your customers will be more confident when visiting your webpages and using your services. If your business site is primarily used as a platform for e-commerce, then such authentication can prove essential in generating the desired profits. If your web page is deemed secure and trustworthy by those who visit it, it is more likely to gain popularity.

Internet security is often a priority for those who carry out online transactions, and so SSL certificates can prove to be an essential investment for many businesses and organization. They work by linking a cryptographic key to details such as a particular domain name, location and business contact details. Once such authentication has been established, the connection between the web server and the internet browser is secure, and not at risk from third party infiltration.
Reality shows – A big joke. Wait..Do you know that WWE i.e.World Wrestling Entertainment is scripted TV show where people fight for money, fame. Note the word “Entertainment” in WWE. Most of the part of WWE is fake and scripted. Fights are preplanned and decided.

OK Now, Let get back to (or lets start with) Roadies, MTV Roadies is a youth-based popular reality television show on MTV India. The Indian version of the show is based on the original MTV reality show Road Rules.

While watching old MTV Roadies videos on Youtube I came across one good video which revealed the secret of this fake MTV Roadies. I Googled to take more information on this and came across many articles revealing more secrets. So thought to share it with you all. (Finally got something to write/share after many days)

You must have seen this super sentimental, entertaining episode of MTV roadies auditions. (Do watch it If you haven’t)

According to this video, this guy is very poor, he brought his first mobile just for Roadies, etc etc. So here is the truth of this guy.

Suraj aka Nagesh of MTV Roadies 8 has been a student of the Indian Institute of Bartending. If this listing of Suraj aka Nagesh from MTV Roadies 8 in the students profile isn’t enough, then nothing will be. Feel free to check http://www.iibtindia.com/placement.html

Suraj aka Nagesh from MTV Roadies 8 boasts of the 9th student profile that’s featured on the institute website. If you look closely, Suraj aka Nagesh from MTV Roadies 8 has his eyebrow pierced and is quite a happening dude from Jalna, and quite hep for being broke.
That’s not all. Appears Suraj aka Nagesh of MTV Roadies 8 is successful at bartending. Suraj aka Nagesh of MTV Roadies 8. successfully enthralled students at the Bartending Seminar & Workshop held on Tuesday 27th July, 2010 for students of Merit Swiss Asian School of Hotel Management. Read More…

Also Read this article from Times of India by Palak aka Gurmeet Kaur about MTV Roadies. It reveals many more secrets from this fake TV show.

In fact, I was told by someone that participants were made to sign a contract according to which, if they revealed the goings on in the show, they would have to pay a penalty of Rs 10 lakhs.

I just want to tell every youngster out there, who dreams of becoming a Roadie, that it is an insensitive show. They only know how to exploit youngsters for money.

- Palak aka Gurmeet Kaur.

So enjoy the skin show, vulgar words. Don’t take Roadies seriously. Better watch and enjoy the Cricket World Cup. (Lets hope, at least cricket world cup matches are not fixed).
