All older links are automatically redirected to the respective new link address, thanks to .htaccess file and its rules, and off-course the simplicity of WordPress helped me here.

Its really a very risky task for blogger having domain with Google Pagerank of 6 and now I changed the domain itself. Its a big experiment that I am doing with myself, lets see what will be the result. Now I will have to ‘request for change address’ at many places including dmoz.org, etc.

I also did few minor css change in blog design, about me page is also changed, new contact form added, new logo, twitter stream is also added to the blog. I am also planning for few more changes in posting style and planning to change & add few more categories.

Meanwhile if you face any problem or come across any bug, please let me know about it. Also it is the request to you all, to kindly update your bookmarks and if you are linking to the old domain i.e. thechetan.com please change it to chetangole.com/blog/.

My Friend Ashish sms’ed me about Pagerank update, his blog got pagerank 1 (It was zero, so this is increment). I just checked my Pagerank and woop, it was also incremented by Google. Its Pagerank 5.This pagerank update is positive for most of the my friends, many of my friends got there pagerank back after some downs.

I can say that this is great Birthday gift for me by Google. My birthday was on 25th May. Thanks Google. But they should have update the pagerank exact on 25th May, hahaha.

Google is updating pagerank very frequently now a days, my be to give best results to its users while searching. This time i was in tension due to change in host, i recently changed my server to Hostgator. and wow my pagerank increased. Many people experience pagerank down after such host changes, but it was good for me.

My internal pages also got high Pageranks, few pages like these got pagerank 4.

• Comment pages in WordPress 2.7 and SEO.
• TheChetan.com shifted their servers to hostgator
• Ubuntu 9.04 launched including for Notebooks
• and many more….

and few pages got pagerank 3-2 etc etc

My overall traffic is also increased from few days, i think my tricks about “on page” and “off page” SEO are now working fine and i am getting superb results out of my research and work. Hope so it will continue. . I will keep sharing them on my blog.

There servers are underpowered. They even cant face the traffic of 1000 Unique visitors per day !! . There database server is also very poor. My error_log file (present under root directory of your wordpress installation) was full with errors of database server. The errors were like “WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query” clearly notifying the power of there database servers.

So i decided to change the host servers, my friend Abhishek is using Hostgator service. I have seen the power of there host servers. They are good, and one of the most important fact was there support system. When my site was down at iWhic, there support system replied to my question after about 24Hrs and my account was restarted after 48Hrs.

Here at Hostgator the support system is really fast.Even i can now directly chat with support people if i have some urgent problem. Currently i shifted all my sites to hostgator and all are working superb with no tension of high CPU usages.Hostgator allows 25% of CPU usages for 90seconds. But as there servers are really high performance i never seen my CPU usages more than a percent.

Currently i am happy with the hostgator, lets see what happens in the future. Hope for the best and ready for the worst
