Hacking or tweaking anything is my hobby. As his blog is based and running on Wordpress blogging platform, hacking or tweaking into wordpress files was my daily work few days ago. After many rumors, and waiting of many webmasters, Google updates its Pagerank just yesterday. Pagerank , many of the webmasters don't believe on Pagerank . but the believers are now happy about the pagerank update last day. I was busy in figuring out the number of blogs and domains who got higher Pagerank which are owned by me. Hack sitemeter to Hide it. Blogging, Internet | (17)
Sitemeter , one of the best counter i ever seen for website owners, it shows online users, Referrals (From where people coming to your site), country locations, browser etc etc.. all in detail. I am using it in almost all my sites and blogs, but i hacked the Sitemeter to hide it. This feature (Hidden counter) is available in PRO version only, but you can easily hack it to hide it. [caption id="attachment_37" align="alignleft" width="111" caption="wordpress 2.6 logo"][/caption]I was on the dashboard of my Wordpress of TheChetan.com and just seen a message of " Upgrade to Wordpress 2.6" . ohh new wordpress ! , Downloaded the zipped version. taken whole backup, deleted all old files of wordpress 2.5 and uploaded the all new Wordpress 2.6 .and upgraded. The new versions have several user friendly features, dont know about security updates etc. If you are still using older wordpress , its time to switch on to new wordpress 2.6.
