This was one of my friends question about his BSNL dataone router/modem.
let us assume you can use ms dos for resetting the router, what command would you use? ms dos expired before routers were born, hence there is no command for the same in it. as far as i know, there are no command line prompts from resetting routers, regardless of the o/s.
on the other hand you can access your router through the `telnet' command and then change the parameters but why take the trouble, when the reset button at the back is provided just for that?

You have high speed ADSL broadband at PC,but still facing low speed in IE (INTERNET EXPLORER )
so here are few steps that will help your to get better speed in IE
1. click start > run
2. type regedit > enter
3. browse folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\m*cro$oft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\InternetSettings
4. right click @ windows right > New > DWORD
5. type MaxConnectionsPerServer > u can set value (the more higher the no, the more good
speed u get, eg : 99)
6. create another DWORD >type MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
7. then enter any higher values in that section
8. then, restart IE ... ur finished.
This Trick will increase your browsing speed as well as downloading ...
I have BSNL broadband internet connection at my home. I always use to do some hacks to speed up my internet connection.Just for curiosity i opened my ADSL router (which many people call modem).

I just opened that router using philips screws driver, there was no seal or any such other matter which may cause WARRANTY VOID situation for my router.so i opened it without any fear.
